I've read about the characteristics of both N & S and can relate strongly to both . I can also remember friends of mine over the years making comments about me that fit both too .
Sorry about that, I deleted you profile because it look like all the spam I get and your post somehow was unlucky enough to be in a moderator controlled section which I thought I'd never set.
Anyway, as for being sensing or intuitive. Yes, it’s a continuum, so people can very much so slip into the grey area. I personally think it’s not so much your absolute typing that matters as much as your variability. And being variable and tapping into different traits would favour those more around the median. Only you know your relative abilities to be intuitive in relation to other people you know. If you can do both sensing and intuition to a high degree than that’s actually good.
One thing though I do realise, most INTJs have to be virtually ISTJs if they are to make it to senior positions and likewise while ISTJs may have an advantage at the lower end process stuff when they want to step up to management they need to develop a bit more of the intuitive lateral streak in them.
To me, in commerce and industry INTJs tend to think about how the job could be done, and ISTJs think about getting the job done. They work very well together, enough commonality to know where each other is going and enough difference to excel in their own patch.
