    So true, so true!

    Internet is a most wonderful tool, but geez it was a steep learning curve, (still is), after working closely with people-physically within reach, face to face, reading body cues, facial expressions, the body language, tone of voice, what they might not be saying...

    I have particularly found email a strange, (but wonderful) beast, to come to grips with.

    Email is very precise. And as such its not really set up for compromises...

    Also because its impersonal people writing them can crystallise an emotional state in the correspondence which can then be read by a reader that is not in the same mood.

    Emails should be used like compliments slips, and always be written in a completely neutral tone... yeah right, bash that board, flame those keys...
