Hmmm....
Men 40 and older are nearly six times more likely to have offspring with autism than men younger than 30.
Just maybe men older than 40 are actually more prone to autism themselves, lets say more career orientated men that meet career orientated women are more likely to have autistic children. Quite possibly this is less pronounced at younger ages as the sample set of people includes more non career types.
