    Well,

I'm sitting here in a random hotel in a random place somewhere here in England... such is mobile broadband.

Actually, In fact its in a hotel that I effectively lived in for the best part of 6 months last year... saying hello to people that work here and remember me..

Makes you realise there are a million parallel universes of people going about their lives...

Wouldn't it be great to be a small town person satisfied with a small town life... to be a participant and not an observer.

I was once a small town person.

    Default Lehman Bros

Well, once they knew their stuff, conservative, well run and knowledgeable.... survivors of the great depression, world wars and everything in between...

But acclaim was believed and taken as granted...

One day though, the market realised the emperor wasn't wearing any clothes... it had lost far more than the shirt off its back.....

Such is the human psychology of greed.

    Masters of the universe indeed....

Nb: mitigation of risk while reducing individual risk has not reduced the totality of risk in the market (collective risk), in effect individual companies have levered against perceived risk mitigation while the whole market has collectively become very risky... and what we are experiencing is the collapse of the total market, as the total market now acts as one connected entity... Watch for the toxicity of the conduit companies as these financial arrangements unwind...

    Default Neuropsychology

I need to comment on this paragraph at some stage,

"Neuroscientists now know that when there is a continual repetition of similar thoughts, be they positive or negative, it causes a repetition of molecular action in the brain, thereby forming a groove or neural pathway in the brain. Once a mental groove is formed, we tend to repeat that way of thinking. We fortunately have the power, at anytime in our lives, to create new grooves in our thinking and reverse old negative ones".

I'd always assumed this was the case, the only thing perhaps missing is the actual scientific analysis to show physical changes. But, if we take analogies such as muscle usage and its strengthening, then its self evident that the brain will prefer pathways that have previously led to logical outcomes. Also, its evident that such in old age people, daily use of their minds in crosswords and so forth helps stave off dementure and so forth.

Here's the article I eventually wrote.... Neuro Psychology - Psychological Reprogramming

    Default Health warning

Yes, don't live with a creative INTJ...

They'll have idea's and know that they really can implement them... in fact many all at the same time... they'll be working till 2am and 7 days a week...

Taking over the world requires more than a 9 to 5 attitude...

    Default 1984 and things

I have to write some commentary on the following Psychology Today: Creative Types Have a Self-Critical Eye

What I never can understand is that people doing research very rarely propose a whole load of other hypothesis's that may lead on from the research they do... (And let’s face it; most of it's rarely insightful beyond common sense).

Interestingly Ennegram type 8's are basically typed like INFJ's.......
