Default More tests. Still that close divide between the xNTx

    Extroverted (E) 58.33% Introverted (I) 41.67%
    Intuitive (N) 62.5% Sensing (S) 37.5%
    Thinking (T) 79.17% Feeling (F) 20.83%
    Perceiving (P) 54.17% Judging (J) 45.83%

    Your type is: ENTP

ENTP - "Inventor". Enthusiastic interest in everything and always sensitive to possibilities. Non-conformist and innovative. 3.2% of the total population.

I'll have to check it with some research... bet I'm right.
Well, I guess that Eureka is wrong. Looking at the optic nerves (the tissue that connects the eyes to the back of the brain) and reading up, it seems more logical that because we have a blind spot in each eye and that the crossing of eyes enables better protection from predators and is an environmental advantage. I would guess as our brains have grown in size these optic nerves have become much longer.

As with most things, the evolved solution is really a solution to a multi parameter problem. The optic nerves probably do help out with holding the brain in place (and probably more so in babies when they are developing their skulls in early childhood) but I think that is a lessor % of the total solution.

    Default The inevitable P function?

While I have always valued the J function as its about implementation and just doing it, thinking and devising and then following through with an implementation strategy etc....

The problem becomes that once you've reached a certain level (In business or whatever) and if you have billions of ideas and objectives then its more and more a divergence into P. You can only spend your limited time on the biggest of issues and you almost have to allow various forest fires to burn while you concentrate on the most important things.

Its almost like ENTP for massive expansion and green field thinking/progression with the INTJ kicking back in to attenuate and consolidate, putting the logistics and infrastructure in place to keep the delivery systems functioning. Left and right brain kicking off in parallel.

I guess for any NT they probably want to be able to loop the whole NT matrix I/E NT J/P as that gives the most flexibility. Thats what I've always said about improving your weaknesses rather than amplifying your strengths, greater marginal benefit is achievable on your worst traits. (Improving your weaknesses is the ultimate diametrical approach). Hmm... but in a very competitive situation you simply cannot afford to carry weaknesses.. although, I'd say its easier for INTPs and INTJs to do the ENTJ and ENTP position than vice versa (Its easier to become extroverted than to copy a lifetimes cumulative thinking gathered during introversion).

Default Non 5 ennegram types that are INTJs

    Hmmm....

I've said for quite a while that non 5 ennegram types that are classified as INTJs using the MBTI process are probably non naturals that have forced themselves into that mold.

By this I mean they are natural NTs. Its just that lock themselves into the I/J profile in order to get through all those filtering hoops that exist in the academic system.

INTJs are possibly a number of NT types, those that have cloaked themselves to make it through the system can and do diverge from the traditional INTJ stereotype once they can begin to influence the rules.

Anyway, looks like us Brits did a parody on it....

Thats the thing, never take anything seriously and you won't need to worry about the commercialisation in the first place...

Update: Had to laugh, found another parody... sort of sums up the expression about wearing "beer goggles"....

    Default Beyond Dawin

Always have believed that there’s more than simple Darwin principles at play with evolution.

While the Darwin concept works well for selective breeding and macro environmental fit, I believe it doesn't work that well on the micro small adaptations that seem to occur and really don't seem to be selectively bred for.

I do actually believe environmental stress has an impact on the body and that affects the gene's which slowly orientate the body towards counteracting that environment. Sure, you could say selective breeding enhances that adaptation but I'm not so sure it absolutely causes it. (Essentially I am advocating that environmental stress excites the body into having a greater genetic diversity as a survival mechanism, and then genetic diversity is directional/funnelled.. which the Darwin theory then links off).

As an example, lets look at say basic biology and you can see how that right down to cell level there are pre-programmed scenario's, like cell multiplication etc. Now if we take note of ongoing research which states various things like; if a woman is overweight or eats nuts etc etc during pregnancy then the baby has its genes altered etc and can be overweight have an allergy etc. (One thing though with these elements of "evidence" is that it occurs in the womb, which may in fact be the place where genetics can be affected most, however, I am suggesting that genetics can also be affected before conception by the host).

I'd like to think that a theory like, that the body can switch off various gene's and in turn offset them by turning on other gene's could exist.

Obviously, one could argue that the unlucky and lucky genetic outliers (handicapped & over-enabled) create the biggest shifts and those animals that fit changing environments are the product of this.

Anyway, I'd place money on the concept that DNA contains environmental memory which is passed to the offspring.... there's enough in that genome for some basic repository.

    Default Scenario's and sleep

    Well,

Hopefully should have some new articles out in 1-2 weeks.

I did a bit of high intensity psych on my mind a few days ago... and the results were quite interesting.

I played Chess against my computer for about 4 hours (fast and intensely) before going to sleep..

Wow.. my mind absolutely cranked through all the scenario's during my sleep, all the times the computer had nailed me and all the permutations combinations that I took or could have taken to stop the outcome of losing various pieces. I even woke up clearly knowing atleast 4 scenario's that I should avoid (like taking the King off the baseline which allows checks to nail shadowed pieces in alignment etc) It sort of makes me think that any experiences that have sufficient intensity (or merit) are flagged and further scenario played, however I still maintain this also occurs during being awake and we only observe it during sleep due to lower external sensory stimulation.

Reprogramming the subconscious is something I'll have to talk about another time..
