    Default Path of least resistance

One thing I have noticed along the road in life at work...

Is that many many people seem to "just end up" "where they end up" more by "fate" rather than some sort of directional focus.

Often I see most people just focusing and expressing their inherent strengths rather than trying to improve their weaknesses.

What really is noticeable is those with great college academics not really continuing on the same intellectual trajectory once they are in the workforce.. Its quite evident that a "C" grader with drive and "N" (innovation) who focuses on improving their weaknesses can go further over time...

Nb: I pretty much believe that different people have different "actualization" profiles, by this I mean as an analogy the "Tortoise versus the Hare".. The more "N" types may actually not really achieve their true maximum potential while at College simply because they have their mind branching off in tangents and getting engrossed in "learning" which is not specifically related to the course and thus receive no merit.

As an instance, you probably could observe "P" types not being focused or organized/disciplined enough to be the perfect academic fit for achieving the highest of grades. You might observe "F" types potentially having external relationships etc impinging on their grades if they are turbulent. The "N"'s as discussed not solely focusing on the course at hand. If you disagree with this paragraph (or the whole site ) then do some research on those students doing the best in various courses... you'll see that ISTJ's do better than expected. Why? I have a hypothesis, all INTJs do, but what’s yours?

    My God, you are everywhere.

....and the thing can be that it just seems the path of least resistance, yet they can resent "it" for years.

Hence, the importance of personality, and personal development. Is there anything more important to a person?

As you stated in another thread, educating children about personalities, the differences the personal development of the individual!

Yes it can change over time, we can cope with change, but it is the journey nobody should ever miss.

    Personal development, know thyself.

This is a great site! But God, isn't it only certain personality types that will seek PD? Again, I refer back to an investing forum and the folk there, obviously intelligent people, but is personal development high in their priorities? No, not really, unless it's about making more money...we need to start as early as possible educating kids that the best investment is in yourself, get that right and the rest does follow.

The reason why I'm everywhere, vis a vis omnipresent on the board... is that its my site.

I personally despise investment people. I am one, I am surrounded by them constantly. Money is a tool, if that tool is simply for self gratification then I don't rate the person. But if the purpose of that tool is to leverage other people... then thats something special. There definitely aren't that many people on this planet like that. Often the people that come around to that way of thinking... have done investment as a game and a challenge.. and at some point they see something far greater than self gratification. I guess what annoys me most though, is that the great investors that push huge amounts of money into charitable trusts... don't seem to manage that investment... charitable trusts don't provide dividends... but they do provide real returns, if people cared to look.

    Default Improving weaknesses....

Often I see in life people trying to enhance and utilise their strongest preferences (advantages)... this is good if you want an easy payback in life for effort.

However, more people could be far "greater" if they identified their weaknesses and actually worked really hard on those. But I guess most people lack the drive to really push themselves.
