It’s striking to see the difference in thought processes in the workplace and amongst different workers.
As always, In order to understand myself it has been necessary to understand others, as they provide the frame of reference. Hence, the continual observation.
While many could claim to be intuitives there are few that are creative intuitives. To be creatively intuitive it is necessary to have many observations to bring to bear, these people read widely and have many interests, they use analogies quite often.
The creative intuitives I have known all have been relatively dyslexic, quite possibly because their mind races to conclusions and formalises understandings without reading individual words. Sentences and paragraphs have meanings while a word is a simple building block which if wrong does not invalidate the understanding, hence, words are not remembered and insufficient weighting can be placed as to their correctness.
These people also tend to see even the most technical of roles as an art, they look for linkages and interconnections forming what I describe as pattern forming visualisation. They generally work from right to left, which is forecasting the outcome and then stepping back through all the interdependencies. Most people work left to right and seem oblivious to outcomes that may occur in a few more steps.
Also, they tend to be more left and right brained balanced. I'm not sure whether that’s because of nature or nurture. They can be left handed and right brained which I would guess gives likely different processing pathways. Left footed and right handed, right brained and very creative at school.. I guess looking at each of these people’s childhoods you would probably pick up these multiple abilities. (Actually, left brained is supposed to be more analytical but you get the gist).
