There have been various articles alluding to the notion that Liberals have a greater connection with the Amygdala and its attachment to the limbic system where as Republicans/Conservatives use their rational prefrontal cortex to make decisions rather than base responses. (newer brain v older brain).

This post however is more about what I believe occurs with heightened or highly sensitised Amygdala. Generally it would appear that more creative types are right hemisphere dominant which ...

I have major problems with those that develop so called IQ tests, because the tests themselves are often representative of the innate type of the person(s) that compiled them (Have you ever done an IQ test written by a sensing type person, where intelligence seems to be nothing more than recollection of facts? versus an IQ test written by intuitive people?.. and possibly even was it swayed by feeling intuition or thinking intuition!?!). Often the tests are nothing more than tricks for mind performance... ...

While reading about autism it dawned on me that I had uncovered a short cut to work that has already laid the basis for what I'd call the prime building blocks for intellectual leverage - intuition.

From Gestalt Psychology consider these: law of prägnanz
    • Law of Closure — The mind may experience elements it does not perceive through sensation, in order to complete a regular figure (that is, to increase regularity).
    • Law of Similarity — The mind groups similar elements into

Interestingly I have been reading up on Glutamate and its implications for excitory mechanisms, although it is often used in the context of Autism I am interested to see whether introverts have naturally high levels which accounts for why they are drained of energy in social interaction and so forth (Bit like a capacitor getting too much charge and shorting out).

Anyway, what I did read that was more than interesting was that it could be gained from protein. The issue then becomes ...

  5. synaesthesia - Jumbling the senses? or a building block of intuitive perception?

I have been reading a few articles on synaesthesia which is interesting although I think they have got it sort of wrong in their interpretation (well, what is and how it is used).

I guess I am going to have to write another article. What better thing to do at 1.30am on a Sunday morning...

Synaesthesia usage appears to be part of the distributive mindset... multiple senses being brought into perception and thinking.

Anyway, maybe an article in 2 hours... ...
